ArchiteXX is a 501c3 committed to gender equity in the architectural profession and academy. We encourage leadership, advocate for diversity, and support open dialogue to inspire a new generation within the discipline.

Progress surrounding gender equity has made strides since our founding in 2013, and we believe this is in large part due to a strong ethos and leadership from practices such as yours.

As such, we invite you to be represented in our latest initiative and join a cohort of Leaders and Agents of Change, by signing the Design Parity Pledge, below. In doing so, your name, practice, and byline will be featured on a list of honorable pledge members, committed to continuing the upward movement and progress in attaining gender equity in their own practice and within the Architectural & Construction Industry at large.

design PARITY Pledge Statement

I support fair access to ALL professional opportunities within my firm, practice, & institution.

I support fair & equitable pay practices within the Architectural and Construction Industry  and pledge to eliminate unequal pay practices at my firm, practice and/or institution.

I recognize the value of affordable health care, childcare, and paid family leave and will uphold / upgrade respective human resources’ policies to demonstrate equitable access

I pledge to support women in my firm through the licensing process, by making available resources for studying, sponsorship / reimbursement of some or all the costs of exam fees and professional coaching.

I support those underrepresented in the profession and aim to advocate that the architectural education become more accessible and reflective of the broader society the profession serves.

I aim to bring visibility to role models for those underrepresented in the profession and aim to create opportunities for mentoring.

I recognize the intersectional nature of diversity and equity across the board, inclusive of race, gender, sexuality, class, education and ability.
